If you haven't ever been to this week long festival you are missing one of the most famous events Ocean City has to offer. Located at the marina at Big crowd at Harbor Island Harbour Island on 14th Street, where the boats bring their catches in for weighing between 4pm and 9:30pm Monday through Friday. You may even see a world record catch being weighed.

Sponsored by a whole host of famous boat builders, hotels, and beverage companies the tournament boasts a monetary prize offering over $1,000,000 (that's a million!). This brings famous anglers in from all over the east coast.

The anglers will be fishing some 50 to 70 miles off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland 3rd place Tuna in deep water areas known as the canyons. The first white marlin this year was caught at Poor Man's Canyon. Other noted fishing 'holes' named as Hot Dog, Fingers, Hambone, and others, will be searched for a prize catch.

At the marina Harbour Island food and drink, along with entertainment will be provided. 2nd place Tuna The atmosphere is most jovial and you'll most likely see someone you know. All the locals will be there! There is no entrance fee or charges except for food and drink. Early evening, from 4pm to 5pm on is the best to get there, but often some of the prize catches are not brought in until late in the evening.
