Operated by O.C. Groms LLC offers professional
instruction to enthusiastic surfers of all skill levels and ages over 8
interested in learning the fundamentals and skills of becoming a
promising surfer. Lessons will be held daily throughout the summer.
Camp Details: O.C. Groms views a surf lesson as more than just riding a
wave. Campers not only will learn the fundamentals of good surfing but
will be immersed in the surfing world, learning about water safety,
tides, winds, board shapes and designs, just to name a few aspects.
Each camper will learn vital skills of board balance, paddling,
“popping-up,” and wave selection.
Our staff pledges safety throughout
the lesson and it is ensured through our camp policy of a 4:1 camper to
staff ratio.
Staff: Our group of instructors and counselors are
motivated, enthusiastic professionals as well as experienced watermen.
All instructors are First Aid/CPR certified. Staff members complete
extensive training in teaching & coaching methods, motivational
development, group management and safety
Location: 35th Street Beach Ocean City, MD at K-Coast Surf
Shop Camp Hours: Lesson are held Monday to Sunday
8:30 am – 10:00 am 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

What to Bring: Bring only yourself and a
guardian if under 18. Feel free to bring a rash guard or wet suit. If
you own a surfboard you would like to use bring it with you. However,
on most occasions, we prefer you use our “soft” boards for safety and
logistical purposes. .

 SURF SESSIONS SURFING LESSONS
FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS
You may ask, "What is Surf Sessions?" It is an exciting forum of supervised ocean experiences for
confirmed and future wave riders (boogie - body boarders, surfers). It provides a peek into a sport
filled with camaraderie that most people only envy while sitting on the beach. And... it is an
opportunity to learn how to handle oneself in the ocean, safely. It is Surf Sessions goal to build
skills, confidence, and character.
Surf Sessions is regrettably no longer permitted to operate as a supervised overnight camp, however the facility is still available for rental. Interested parties should contact Surf Sessions
Surfing Lessons. Rates will be posted at a later dates when we determine just how surf sessions will continue. in any case, lessons will
still continue daily throughout the summer.
Surf Session's trained and experienced instructors will share their knowledge with you and
provide personalized attention. For beginners, a realistic expectation is the ability to feel more
comfortable in the waves and feel the thrill of riding them. For the experienced, it will provide
improvement in your techniques through technical sessions, video, and simply, the opportunity to
be there when it "breaks."
