Parts of the Assawoman Bridge will be completely finished in June, with occasionally one lane blocked, one lane will
be cut into two lanes, similar to the situation Saint Martin's was last year.
All EAST bound traffic will be closed from Ocean Pines to Ocean City Maryland from late February until May. EAST bound means going to the beach.
WEST bound traffic will be permitted - leaving the beach. This is the result of repaving the road surface on the bridges, St. Martin’s River and Assawoman Bay bridge spans along Route 90. These bridges are 35 years old and in need of resurfacing.
Route 90 will be closed to EAST bound traffic at the Route 589 intersection of Route 90 near Ocean Pines.
Alternative
routes will be the Route 50 bridge at the south end of Ocean City
and the Delaware Route 54 access point north Ocean City.
