50 or more Credit Card Number Thefts at
Harpoon Hanna's Restaurant.

 Katrina Kabiarets from Belarus, a former Russian state, met a man in New York, who "loaned" her a hand held credit card reading device with the stipulation of a commission of $10-$15 for stolen Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit card numbers.

Katrina Kabiarets is in the United States on a work visa permit, lives in Ocean City Maryland.     She apparently stole at least 50 credit card numbers while employed by Harpoon Hanna's Restaurant, Fenwick Island Delaware.   Using a hand held device obtained from a mystery man at a party in New York she was able to read the credit card numbers from the customers she was serving as a waitress.

Investigators were informed by American Express about compromised accounts, and honed in on Harpoon Hanna's Restaurant were the fraudulent activity had been identified.

Katrina Kabiarets said that she had returned the hand held credit card reader device to the man in New York but after a raid on her residence Police found other people's identification and credit cards, a credit card reader, and two computers.

The suspect is expected to be released Monday after she surrendered her passport to the court and other agreements had been made to court ordered conditions

There is absolutely no way this individual came to America and just happened to coincidentally optain devices, computers etc for this identity theft operation.   We sincerely doubt the intentions of this individual to come to America for a summer job.     We believe this credit card theft scam originated through an organized crime ring in her home country of Belarus, or through her contacts to come to America.
