The beating death of Mark Starliper took West Ocean City community by shock.

Mark Starliper was attacked in the woods at the Salisbury Park and Ride at Route 50 and Phillip Morris Drive on the morning of September 24th 2004.

Just recently a woman was found using Starliper's ATM card , through surveillance the woman was traced and found to be living with Calvin Wayne Bruce, 47 in Whaleyville.    Calvin Wayne Bruce has been charged and arrested with first degree murder, first and second degree assault, robbery and theft according to the Salisbury Police Department.

The exact reason why Starliper was or had stopped at the Route 50 and Phillip Morris Drive Park and Ride in Salisbury is unclear.   Starliper's body was found in the woods by a road worker badly beaten on the morning September 24th.
