That's amazing! My wife, son and I had the exact same experience there. It was horrible. There were broken tles on the bathroom floor, a hole in the wall of the bathroom, hair in all the drains, black stains from years of neglect in the sink and shower, and hairs and stain on and in the toilet. There were also extension cords draped across doorways to run the lights, cigarette ashes on the end tables, rings of glasses were there as well. The beds were hardly made and I'm sure the sheets were well used. To top it all off the floor and carpet was wet. When we first walked in I commented that if smelled like cat piss (sorry). My son who is like a parrot at 2 years old gave us some comic relief by running around the room saying "this place smells like cat piss, this place smells like cat piss!" We had reserved the room for several days, but I swore I would not have my familly stay there. We went and got another room in another motel and I called my credit card company right away to dispute the charges. They told me that my card was charged not on the day of our arrival but on the day we made the reservations, a full 2 weeks prior. To make a long story short we got a full refund. Please stay away from this place. I have been vactioning in Ocean City for years and have always had a great time. This place could easily put someone off from returning to Ocean City if it's their only experience. | ||

I can't believe anyone would even consider representing the Alamo Motel in OC. It is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Especially for a hefty $71 per night, non refundable, I mean non refundable even if it is canceled in advance before you even have a clue of what you have done. To top it all off, we reserved 2 rooms and would have lost nearly $300. The rooms were never cleaned, even prior to our arrival. I preferred a public rest room over theirs. None of us would even think of using the shower... I requested someone clean the toilet, he came with a small sponge a spray bottle and spent approximately one minute in the bath. Hair of the previous resident was still all over the bathroom, shampoo and someone else's razor. In addition to that the room had a stench of sewage. We were told to run the shower for a while and the smell would go away. Thankfully, I brought pillow cases, as I always do, but we slept fully clothed on top of the bed, and I preferred my husband's arm pit instead of touching the pillow, even with my case on it...pretty bad! We would have preferred to lose nearly $300, but we could not find another vacancy in OC during the time of the first DelMarva Bike Week. Having their motel a product of your web sites promotes ripping off the public. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!! |
