This past week I attended beach week in Ocean City Maryland. I stayed at the Cayman Suites on 125th street. This was a big mistake. The manager was disrespectful, inconsiderate, and cold-hearted. Four girls and I were evicted at one-thirty in the morning, because of a minor infraction of the contract. One of the girls had been sexually abused the previous night, and was in need of comfort and support from her friends. She had guests in our room watching a Disney movie as the manager knocked on our door. Despite the circumstances explained to him, he evicted us for having visitors. This man not only showed no compassion, but also threatened to have us removed forcefully if we did not cooperate. Despite having my parents on the phone asking him to wait for morning because of their concern for the safety of teenage girls having no place to stay, or driving extremely far distances in the middle of the night, the manager indicated that he wasn't concerned for our safety. In his view we should not have broken that rule therefore he had us evicted as of that moment. In addition, the manager refused to refund any of our rent we paid, or damage deposit of 320 dollars. Please do not help this man win. He was not concerned with our safety, and he won't be concerned with yours. |
